Mix well = van der Moga Photography

Mireille Moga is a Berlin-based architectural photographer working at the intersection of architecture, documentary practice, and research. Drawing on a multi-disciplinary background in architecture, visual arts, journalism, and market research, she uses photography both as a means of observation and as a tool for inquiry.

Her commissioned work focuses primarily on architecture and the built environment. Informed by her training and experience as an architect, she approaches each project with an understanding of spatial intention, materiality, and context, seeking to convey not only the physical qualities of a place but also its atmosphere and presence. Her photographs explore the relationship between buildings, landscapes, and the people who inhabit them, revealing how architecture is experienced in everyday life in a way that is both analytically rigorous and visually sensitive.

Alongside her professional practice, Mireille develops long-term personal projects that examine the social, environmental, and cultural dimensions of the built world. Her work is driven by a curiosity about systems, behaviors, and the visible and invisible forces that shape contemporary landscapes.

Mireille is a licensed architect and holds a Master of Architecture as well as bachelor's degrees in Studio Art and Marketing. Born in Romania and raised in New York City, she has been based in Berlin since 2014. She is a member of bbk berlin, BVAF, and the photo collective tunnel19.
